Garrick Palay

Project Executive

Garrick joined Riley in 2016 as a Project Engineer after graduating from Marquette University with a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. He has since grown into his current role as Project Executive, where he focuses on leading teams and delivering strong outcomes for clients.

Originally from Illinois but a Wisconsinite at heart, Garrick has always been fascinated by how things come together. That curiosity naturally led him to construction, where he now gets to combine technical problem-solving with his passion for bringing people together. “I’ve always enjoyed the process of building something from the ground up, but what really drives me is the opportunity to align a team around a shared goal and see what we can accomplish together,” Garrick said.

Outside of work, Garrick enjoys spending time with his wife, Natalie, and their dog. He stays active playing and coaching volleyball and enjoys hiking and exploring the outdoors.

WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO

“I find the most joy in bringing teams together to accomplish a common goal. Construction is full of complex challenges, and I love being part of the moments when a client is facing what feels like a massive problem, and we’re able to assemble the right people, create a plan, and solve it together. Finding ways to win for our clients. That’s what makes this work meaningful.”

Fun Fact

“I’m always working on some kind of home improvement project, either at my own house or helping someone else with theirs. It’s hard for me to sit still when there’s something that could be built or improved.”
