Dave Schwallier
Director of Growth Strategies
Dave joined Riley Construction in April 2025 as Director of Growth Strategies, bringing two decades of experience as a sales, marketing, and leadership coach, trainer, and consultant. He holds both a BBA in General Business and an MBA in Marketing, Management, and Strategy from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater.
Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and raised in Racine, Wisconsin, Dave has always loved building things, first with Legos and later through co-creating strategies and solutions with teams. His passion for the construction industry grew while consulting for numerous construction-related organizations, where he saw the impact of strong strategy and collaboration firsthand. “I love to help team members realize their potential and ultimately serve others,” Dave said.
Outside of work, Dave is the proud father of four very busy teen and pre-teen children. He enjoys exercising, being outdoors, seeing live music, and noodling on the piano. He is also an avid singer and whistler in the car, shower, or anywhere else, and proudly claims to always be in tune. A lifelong learner, Dave is constantly seeking growth through books, podcasts, and the wisdom of others.

WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO
The ability to serve and influence others, both inside and outside of Riley, is what drives me. I love co-creating our strategy, developing a plan to achieve it, and then getting after it with our team, beginning with the end in mind. I get to work alongside hard-working, intelligent people who want to grow and who are committed to building something that will outlive us all.
Fun Fact
I spent much of my childhood on a sailboat on Lake Michigan. Once, we ran into a storm in the middle of the lake while crossing from Michigan. Let’s just say it was the last time I wanted to be on the crest or in the trough of a twenty-foot wave.
